Journaling can be seen not just as a tool for self-expression, it is also a therapeutic method to manage and resolve the conflict shocks and phases of a biological program, and it is particularly useful for discovering patterns when identifying tracks that cause chronic conditions.

Benefits of Journaling in GNM:
Conflict Resolution:
  • Tracking Conflict Shocks: By documenting daily experiences, emotions, and thoughts, you can identify patterns or specific events that might correlate with the onset of physical symptoms. This awareness can be the first step towards understanding and resolving biological conflicts.
  • Healing Phases: GNM describes two phases of disease – the conflict-active phase and the healing phase. Journaling can help document the transition between these phases, providing insights into your healing process. This can helps alleviate fear and ensure you are prepared for the next phase of the program.

Emotional Processing:

  • Emotional Release: Writing about distressing events can act as a form of catharsis, helping to process emotions that might otherwise lead to or exacerbate biological conflicts.

Clarity and Insight:

  • Journaling allows for reflection, offering clarity on emotional states which might be linked to biological responses as per GNM.
Self-awareness and Personal Growth:
  • Understanding Patterns: By regularly noting down events and reactions, you might uncover repetitive themes or conflicts in your life, aligning with GNM’s view on how chronic unresolved conflicts can lead to chronic health issues. I could not have resolved some of my own chronic conditions had it not been for my journal, where the patterns that clearly indicated tracks not only were revealed, but in some cases led me to realise the original conflict shock.
  • Promoting Health: Self-awareness can lead to better lifestyle choices, reducing the likelihood of new conflict shocks.

Stress Management:

  • Reducing Stress: Writing can serve as a stress-relief mechanism, potentially mitigating the intensity of conflict shocks since stress increases the conflict of the program, which can cause a more intense healing phase.
Tips on How to Journal with GNM in mind.
  • Be Consistent: Set a regular time each day to journal (I do this at bedtime). Consistency helps form a habit so you don’t forget to do it!
  • Reflect on Feelings and Physical Sensations: When noting an event, also write down how you felt emotionally and any physical changes you noticed. This can help correlate initial thoughts that may indicate the type of conflict shock you have experienced.
  • Detail the Day’s Events: Try to write about your day, focusing on any significant or stressful events. Note the time, context, and your initial reaction, which might later be connected to biological responses. This doesn’t need to be comprehensive, it can be in point form.
  • Use Prompts for Deeper Insight: Questions like “What unresolved issue from my past might this event connect to?” or “How does this situation make me feel physically?” – thinking in your body (biologically)  can guide your writing towards GNM insights.
  • Track Symptoms: If you’re dealing with a health issue, track symptoms alongside your emotional and mental states. This could reveal patterns where emotional conflicts trigger physical symptoms.
  • Review Regularly: Periodically look back on your entries. This review can offer a broader perspective on how conflicts have been resolved or are persisting.
  • Privacy and Security: Ensure your journal is kept private. The personal nature of the insights you gain through GNM-based journaling should not be exposed unless you choose to share them with a healthcare provider familiar with GNM.
  • Combine with Other Healing Practices: Journaling can be complemented by other GNM practices like understanding the biological significance of symptoms or seeking resolution through conflict-solving dialogues or therapies.
  • Don’t dig too deeply or obssess over situations or circumstances. You don’t want to be re-triggering any conflicts or getting stressed.
Journaling from a GNM perspective isn’t just about recording life events; it’s about understanding the deep interconnections between mind, body, and health. By journaling, you’re not only chronicling your journey but actively participating in your healing process, which is at the heart of German New Medicine.
